What it is
A shuttle carries a fraction of the energy of a tennis ball, and a badminton frame weighs about 85 g — three grams in the wrong place changes how it swings. AIR is 3.1 g, shorter in the barrel, and ships with a 12 N/mm spring rather than the standard 26.
That soft spring is what makes light contact legible. A net tumble barely registers on a standard coil; on AIR it produces enough travel to measure, which is why net-shot detection is a feature here and not on ONE.
The trade is headroom. AIR saturates on a hard smash where ONE would keep resolving, so it is the wrong tracker for tennis. For badminton and squash it is the right one.
Will it fit
Badminton and squash frames, where the throat is shallower — it needs 70 mm of height and 16–28 mm at the yoke. It will physically seat in a tennis frame, but do not: the 12 N/mm spring saturates on a full ball strike and the numbers stop meaning anything.
